Thanks to everyone who participated in SAM 2011!
We would like to give a big thanks to all of the
churches and individuals who helped out through
working, preparing meals, or providing financial
donations!

We would also like to say a huge thanks to the City
of Sumter, Sumter County, and The Lieutenant
Governor's Office for their support as well.  We
received a grant from the Lieutenant Governor's
office through the
ElderCare Trust.  Click on the link
to find out how you can support this charitable trust
which supports the SAM project  in a simple, but
powerful way!

We will continue to work on smaller projects
throughout the year.

What is S.A.M.?
" A light in the darkness"
S.A.M. Project
The S.A.M. project is an outreach program that seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ in the Sumter community.  The focus of
S.A.M. is to repair housing for those in need with the specific goal of making the house safe, dry, and secure.  All work is
completed by volunteers from local churches and civic groups within the community.  The S.A.M. project is also concerned with
ministering to people emotionally and spiritually.  By meeting their physical needs, we allow people to be touched by unconditional
love and provide them with hope in Christ for the future.
We are now taking applications and interviewing for SAM Summer Restore 2012! We will be completing 2 weeks this year -
June 3 -8 and June 17-22.  Go ahead and mark your calendars!
