| Gear up for Learning 2011 was a great success! “Gear Up For Learning” is a special project of United Ministries of Sumter County to collect school supplies for kindergarten through high school students. We combine them into kits, and give them to the school district to distribute them to the children that need them. In 2011, we were able to give out 1897 kits and 350 bookbags! Thanks to everyone who participated to provide more children in Sumter with the opportunity to succeed in school! |
