Guests must arrive no later than 8:00 pm unless accompanied by the Sumter Police Dept. The guests receive an evening meal at approximately 7:00 pm and showers and laundry machines are available. The Emergency Shelter Mission Statement:
The Emergency Shelter is a temporary shelter seeking to minimize the physical and spiritual impact of brokenness and homelessness by providing rest and nourishment. The Shelter partners with local Sumter County churches to initiate and facilitate healing and restoration, enabling residents to glorify God by leading productive and independent lives.

The Emergency Shelter Theology Statement:
Everyone can have a new life by grace through faith in Christ, setting us free from sinful habits, addictions, and anxiety from life’s difficulties, empowering us to live victoriously in His righteousness.
